The health and safety of Riviera Bronze employees is of the utmost importance.
The focus and commitment upon safety begins immediately upon hire. For new employees, their first day on the job includes receiving safety training, which is individualized and tailored to their job assignment. Additionally, departmental supervisors lead their teams in a weekly safety stand-up session...and each month a company-wide safety meeting is held.
By the end of 2017, Riviera Bronze will have held 75 consecutive safety meetings--without a single month missed. This management focus is multiplied by the commitment of each employee resulting in a strong safety culture.
In addition to the manufacturing safety topic, the August safety meeting carried a focal point regarding each employee’s personal health; specifically related to the choices necessary to live a happy, long and healthy life.
The company-wide meeting kicked off at 7am shart, with a wholesome brekfast of yogurt, fruit and breakfast burritos. As they enjoyed the meal together, employees were made aware that in the coming months the Company will incorporate personal health choices to become part of the safety culture. Awareness training is partnership with our health care providers will focus upon comprehensive health assessments, smoking cessation, healthy diet and exercise.
Riviera Bronze believes deeply that combining fun and celebration with excellence and quality leads to achievements which are both notable and enjoyable. As an example, for the past year the Company has offered “Fresh Fruit Thursday’s” to every employee. Each day a food service comes to the RB campus for the convenience of team members. On Thursday’s fresh fruit is given to any employee who wishes to take advantage as a way to promote healthy living.
To augment the success of this offering, in August the company announced “Two-Buck Tuesday’s” as part of the safety/health initiative. Available to employees is a sald with fresh vegetables topped with lean, grilled chicken. Both offerings have been wonderfully received! As we look ahead to 2018, we hope to further inspire employees to take care of themselves so they can live happily and healthy for many years to come.
